~Sapphire Seeds~

These little acorns have small raw Montana sapphires cast in place within their core, forever immortalized in cold silver. There aren't many stones that can handle the heat of the casting process, but these little ones were perfect for the job. During casting, in this case sand casting, the metal is heated up until it's a molten, glowing liquid which is then poured swiftly into the sand mold, resulting in the form you see here. The silver wraps itself around the stone, hugging it tightly and securely as it cools.

They each have a blue or yellow hue to them, and their surfaces are rough and worn, yet smooth to the touch with a soothing presence.
